This is done now. You can add up to six featured participants. The field is directly below the event participants field when you edit the conference event. Until you add featured participants, the main conference page will continue to display random participants as per your earlier requests.

Dear Cheryl, Ned,
In our meeting two weeks ago, Cheryl signaled that IDRC could add functionality that would allow us to decide which 6 speakers are featured under the conference description<https://platform.coop/events/conference-2019/>. Right now, the 6 people there are not all central to the event. Could we return to this?
We had also discussed adding the logo of the Association of US Worker Co-ops to our website. They do not have a black and white version of their logo, it appears.
