Hi all!

I feel it's important to say, as a former CoLab employee, that their
hosting and maintenance services are a large part of what makes them
profitable -- a large part of how they continue to make money from clients
for which they've built websites.

So, I definitely recommend shopping around for a more affordable and
values-aligned provider -- perhaps based in the global south, like in
Argentina or Brazil or India?

There are many that have been in the co-op tech world for some time. For
instance, https://gcoop.coop/ in Buenos Aires specifically works with free
& open source tech, and runs a hosting spinoff https://nube.coop/m and
https://nilenso.com in Bangalore specializes in open source software, too.

Warmly,
Danny
