Hi Ned,
Great solution. I think we won't need tables or can find similar workarounds so no need to spend time on tables.

Regards,
Vera

Subject: [Wecount] Data table in views post "Environmental Scan: Assessing Inclusionary Practice in Canadian Data Services"

Hi David, Vera and everyone,

In yesterday’s meeting we talked about the table of data shown on this Views post:

https://wecount.inclusivedesign.ca/views/environmental-scan-assessing-inclusionary-practice-in-canadian-data-services/#a-diverse-space<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwecount.inclusivedesign.ca%2Fviews%2Fenvironmental-scan-assessing-inclusionary-practice-in-canadian-data-services%2F%23a-diverse-space&data=04%7C01%7Cvroberts%40ocadu.ca%7C24a7408aebe642f1bda208d8fe81170c%7C06e469d12d2a468fae9b7df0968eb6d7%7C0%7C0%7C637539177689033122%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=URXE8q0UgoHWidieGefZmp6pcCm7rljuCGfPaOoUHDc%3D&reserved=0>

The table is not formatted very nicely, but more importantly, there isn’t a table editor in Netlify CMS. In discussion, we came up with the idea of reformatting the data into a list as it’s a fairly small data set. You can see a preview of this change here:

https://deploy-preview-494--wecount.netlify.app/views/environmental-scan-assessing-inclusionary-practice-in-canadian-data-services/#a-diverse-space<https://can01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdeploy-preview-494--wecount.netlify.app%2Fviews%2Fenvironmental-scan-assessing-inclusionary-practice-in-canadian-data-services%2F%23a-diverse-space%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cvroberts%40ocadu.ca%7C24a7408aebe642f1bda208d8fe81170c%7C06e469d12d2a468fae9b7df0968eb6d7%7C0%7C0%7C637539177689038100%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=w8aphy%2F3ef5XKkejMK9BMqh9c18oaXlRhhpUX8usDIE%3D&reserved=0>

Let me know what you think— if it’s critical to keep this data in a table, Cindy and I will need to figure out a good approach and work on some improvements to the styling of the table.

Cheers,

Ned
